Sabbath is a special morning during our Pre-Teen, Junior, and Intermediate camps. Campers get to sleep in a bit longer, and have a slower morning with activities that help them enjoy nature and connect with God and Faith.
During Sabbath mornings- campers get 15 minutes of extra sleep. After breakfast, our chaplain hosts a special vespers service with slower music than we might tend to have during evening vespers. Following morning vespers, campers are sent with their cabin to 3-4 vespers stations, which replace morning activities. The sessions are typically more reflective in nature and may include a nature themed craft, meditation at the beach, time with the chaplain to ask questions, and reflective singing.
After lunch campers return to regular scheduled programming.
